The team from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad successfully convinced a panel of stock market veterans that DCB Bank is the stock to bet on for the long-term, becoming the winners of Motilal Oswal’s 'Think Equity, Think Q.G.L.P' competition.

The homegrown asset management company invited around 60 business schools to participate in the contest. Their objective: one investment idea that could give good returns over three to five years.

Ten finalists presented their stock ideas before a panel of judges that included Raamdeo Agrawal, co-founder of Motilal Oswal AMC, Sandeep Kothari of Fidelity FF India Focus Fund and Rajeev Thakkar of PPFAS Mutual Fund.

Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies won the second spot with their pitch for Maruti Suzuki, while a presentation on Jamna Auto got IIM Bangalore the bronze.
