Asian stocks were mixed Friday following a decline in U.S. shares led by the technology sector, amid concerns over impact of tapering and geopolitical tensions following the U.S. sanctions on China.

India's stock benchmarks snapped a four-day losing streak Thursday, aided by gains in information technology and energy stocks, after fluctuating between gains and losses for most of the session.

The Singapore-traded SGX Nifty, an early indicator of India's Nifty 50 Index's performance, fell 0.23% to 17,288, as of 7:10 a.m.

  • Yes Bank: Board of Directors to meet on Dec. 21 to seek approval for raising of funds.
