Stocks To Watch: Coal India, Exide Industries, GHCL, Jubilant Industries, Muthoot Finance

Here are the stocks to watch in trade today.

Indian equity markets ended the first session of the November F&O expiry week with gains, even as banking stocks underperformed in a volatile session. The S&P BSE Sensex ended 0.4% higher at 44,077 while the NSE Nifty 50 index ended 0.5% higher at 12,926. The index is now 74 points away from hitting the mark of 13,000.

Here are the stocks to watch in trade today:

  • Muthoot Finance has launched gold jewellery insurance scheme, for its customers in partnership with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance. The policy provides insurance coverage of gold jewellery for individuals. This is designed to provide insurance coverage of gold jewellery articles for customers of the company at the time of closure of gold loan and release of gold ornaments.
  • GHCL: Exchanges have given no-objection letter to the scheme of demerger of the textile business of the company into GHCL Textiles.
  • Coal India: Board approved enhancement of non-coking coal price by Rs 10 per tonne for regulated and non-regulated sectors across the company towards contribution to the corpus of Coal Mines Provident Fund Scheme 1948, with effect from Dec. 1. Four trade unions have served a one day strike notice to the company and its arms on Nov. 26, as the company said reconciliation is going on.
  • Exide Industries has increased its stake in its arm Exide Leclanche Energy from 77.87% to 80.15% for Rs 33 crore. The target manufactures lithium ion batteries.
  • Ingersoll Rand India promoter Ingersoll Rand Inc to sell up to 14.26 lakh shares (4.52% stake) at a floor price of Rs 578.6 per share aggregating to Rs 82.5 crore. Floor price is at a discount of 12% to closing prices as on Nov. 23. Offer for sale to non-retail investors on Nov. 24, for retail investors on Nov. 25. Promoter stake to come down from 79.52% to 75% to comply with SEBI guidelines on minimum public shareholding pattern. 12% discount is being offered to retail investors.
  • Jubilant Industries to transfer its liquor license and will not manufacture India made foreign liquor.
  • Trigyn Technologies has extended its contract with United Nations for the provision of IT staffing support service till December 2021.
