Here are the stocks to watch in trade today.

Asian stocks and U.S. futures were mixed Friday as investors mulled continued talks over U.S. stimulus and the economic impact of fresh restrictions in some parts of the world to fight the resurgent coronavirus.

The Singapore-traded SGX Nifty, an early indicator of the Nifty 50 Index’s performance in India, rose 0.72% to 11,759 as of 8:10 a.m.

Here are the stocks to watch in trade today:

  • Astrazeneca Pharma will launch Calquence in India on Oct.21. Coompany had received import and market permission from Drugs Controller General of India on March 12. The drug used to treat various types of blood cancer.
  • Indiamart Intermesh clarified that there has been no such discussions with Tata group for potential acquisition and investment.
  • UPL: KPMG has resigned as the auditor with effect from Oct.8 for company’s material arm in Mauritius- UPL Corporation.
  • Sun Pharma clarified on the news of SEBI probe of its ex-board member Ashwin Dani, that it has not received any information or notice either from SEBI or anyone regarding the matter.
  • Competition Commission of India has approved the completion of first closing of Bharti Airtel’s arm Nxtra Data to Carlyle Group. On July 1, the company announced that Carlyle group will acquire 25% stake in Airtel’s data centre business at a valuation of $1.2 billion.
  • India’s gasoline demand recovery more robust than jet fuel and gas oil stated Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, Chairman at IOC. (Bloomberg News)
  • Persistent Systems to acquire entire business of US based Capiot Software for $6.34 million and additional incentive based payments for next three years amounting up to another $6 million. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions which are expected to be completed within 2‐4 weeks. Target company provides enterprise integration services by leveraging various integration platforms including TIBCO, MuleSoft, Red Hat and other open source platforms.
  • Mindtree has appointed Dayapatra Nevatia, chief operating officer as executive director (additional director) of the company with effect till Oct.2025.

  • Net profit up 19.1% at Rs 253.7 crore (Est Rs 259 crore)
  • Ebit up 11.6% at Rs 321.5 crore (Est Rs 308 crore)
