Here are the stocks to watch in trade today.

Indian equity markets recovered from a volatile 45 minutes of trade to end higher for the fourth straight day. The S&P BSE Sensex ended 0.4% higher at 40,707 while the NSE Nifty 50 gained 0.3% to end at 11,937. The index had briefly scaled the 12,000 mark in early trading.

Here are the stocks to watch in trade today:

  • Nestle has reported a 'mid-single-digit growth' in the Indian market in the July-September quarter, helped by its popular brands Maggi, Nescafe and KitKat. South-East Asia market also maintained mid-single-digit growth. On a global basis, company raised its organic sales growth for 2020 to be around 3%. Nestle India is expected to announce its quarterly results on Oct.23. (Press Trust of India)
  • GMM Pfaudler: Board approved creation of pledge over the entire shareholding (54%) proposed to be held by the company and Mavag AG in GMM International as part of the Pfaudler Acquisition. Company’s Hyderabad manufacturing facility is now up and running and expect to close the Pfaudler acquistion by the end of the year.
  • Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals to consider raising Rs 5,000 crore via NCDs.
  • Federal Bank: Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has reduced stake from 3.18% to 2.71%, as per the latest shareholding pattern released in exchanges. He has sold 1 crore shares since June end.
  • KPI Global Infra has signed new long term PPA with China Steel Corporation, Dahej for sale of 1.50 MW solar power for a period of 20 years under independent power producer business vertical.
  • India Energy Exchange: Board has approved further investment of Rs 47.6 crore in its wholly owned arm Indian Gas exchange to comply norms as specified by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board.
  • Equitas Small Finance Bank IPO: Subscribed 0.68 times on day 2. QIB was 0.05 times, Non-institutional investors subscribed 0.05 times and for the retail segment it was 1.44 times.
  • Hindustan Copper to consider raising funds via qualified institutional placement method to the extent of 15% of existing paid up equity capital in one or more tranches on Oct.29
  • Kirloskar Brothers: SEBI has slapped a penalty of Rs 31 crore on the company’s promoters and others for indulging in insider trading and committing fraud on public shareholders of Kirloskar Industries. Also, the entities have been barred from the capital markets for period ranging three months to six months, the regulator said in three separate orders.
  • Majesco: Amansa Holdings reduced their stake from 7.35% to 6.46% on Oct.19.
  • Great Eastern Shipping to consider raising up to Rs 150 crore via issue of NCDs on Oct.26.
