Sterlite Power Files For Rs 1,250 Crore-IPO, Bloomberg Reports

The company may also consider a pre-IPO placement of shares for up to Rs 220 crore.

Sterlite Power Transmission Ltd., controlled by billionaire Anil Agarwal, has sought markets regulator's nod for an initial public offering of up to Rs 1,250 crore, Bloomberg reported.

The company may also consider a pre-IPO placement of shares for up to Rs 220 crore, Bloomberg reported citing the company’s draft red herring prospectus filed with the Securities and Exchange Board of India. Axis Capital, ICICI Securities and JM Financial have been hired to manage the share sale.

Founded in 2009, the company’s portfolio includes 25 current and sold projects, covering about 13,700 circuit kilometers. It also holds transmission projects in Brazil. Its 10 completed projects and five ongoing in India span 9,246 circuit kilometers, according to its website.
