(Bloomberg) -- Facebook Inc. won’t be taking office space in Vornado Realty Trust’s proposed midtown Manhattan skyscraper, a person with knowledge of the matter said after renderings showing the company’s logo on the building leaked on the internet.

Vornado had pitched the tower near the Pennsylvania Station rail hub to Facebook, which has been scouting out office space around New York City, said the person, who asked not to be identified because the matter is private. Facebook never seriously considered the building -- dubbed “Penn15” by Vornado -- as an option, the person said.

A representative for Vornado didn’t immediately respond to a call or emails seeking comment.

“We constantly re-evaluate our facilities needs and we don’t have anything new to share about our plans in New York at this time,” Anthony Harrison, a Facebook spokesman, said in an email.
