Buoyed by higher investments in stocks by domestic investors, net inflows into Indian equity funds rose 66 percent to Rs 14,683 crore in the financial year ended March. Equity assets under management jumped 38 percent to Rs 6.9 lakh crore during the period.

Flows into balanced funds declined 30 percent to Rs 5,026 crore from Rs 7,136 crore but assets rose 87 percent to Rs 1.7 lakh crore. Equity linked savings schemes saw inflows jump more than 170 percent to Rs 1,585 crore. The total assets managed by these funds grew 27 percent to Rs 80,972 crore.

Investments into equity funds have been growing after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cash purge in November 2016 funnelled more household savings into insurance and mutual funds, which found its way into equities as domestic flows. As a result, the Nifty 50 Index hit its record in January before losing half the gains made during the year due to domestic and global worries to end just over 10 percent higher in 2017-18.

Here’s a list of the funds that performed well in 2017-18, according to Bloomberg:
