Eleven out of 19 sector gauges compiled by BSE were trading lower, led by losses in the S&P BSE Telecom Index's 1.4 percent drop. On the flipside, the S&P BSE FMCG Index was the top sectoral gainer, up 0.3 percent.

Tata Consultancy Services has been named a leader for the fifth year in a row in Capital Markets BPO Services by the Everest Group.

Trading volume was 2.6 times the 20-day average.

Shares of the Chennai-based infrastructure construction firm rose as much as 16.1 percent to Rs 32.1.

The company has won an order worth rs 84 crore from the drinking water and sanitation department of the Jharkhand government, the board informed via a stock exchange filing yesterday.

Trading volume of the stock was 8 times the 20-day average.

L&T Technology: Climbs After Third Quarter Results

Shares of the Vadodara-based engineering services firm rose to a lifetime high of Rs 1,216.5 after rising as much as 20.46 percent.
