Stocks Radar: Tata Motors, Eicher Motors, Sun Pharma

Here are the stocks moving the market this morning.

Indian equity benchmarks rose for the sixth straight session today.

The S&P BSE Sensex Index rose as much as 0.13 percent to 33,606.7, while the NSE Nifty 50 Index also rose as much as 0.18 percent to 10,361.

The market breadth was tilted in favour of buyers. Sixteen of the 19 sector gauges compiled by the BSE Ltd. rose led by the S&P BSE Telecom Index’s 0.8 percent gain. On the flipside, the S&P BSE Bankex fell 0.13 percent, making it the worst performer.

Thomas Cook: Offer For Sale

Shares of the travel service provider rose as much as 6.35 percent to Rs 244.5 apiece in intra-day trading, after it said it plans to sell its stake in Quess Corp Ltd.

Thomas Cook will sell up to 75 lakh shares (5.4 percent) in Quess Corp via an offer for sale, at Rs 800 per share between Nov. 23-24.

Shares of Quess Corp fell as much as 8.25 percent to Rs 839 apiece.

Tata Motors: Jaguar Recalls Cars

Shares of the Indian automobile company swung between gains and losses after Jaguar recalled 29,000 vehicles with instrument clusters that can go blank, come back on and go blank again.

The stock was headed for a sixth straight session of advance, its best performance since May. It is down 8.9 percent so far this year, compared to a 25 percent gain in the S&P BSE Auto Index.

Eicher Motors: Commercial Vehicles For E-commerce

Shares of Eicher Motors Ltd. rose as much as 1.59 percent to Rs 30,658 apiece after the company announced that it will be launching variants of commercial vehicles for the e-commerce industry.

The newer variants have features such as longer cargo body, higher fuel efficiency and more space, according to a PTI report.

Sun Pharma: Reduces Stake In ScPharmaceuticals

Shares of the drugmaker rose as much as 1.64 percent to Rs 544 apiece after it reduced its stake in scPharmaceuticals to 12.31 percent from 14.58 percent after latter's initial public offering.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. purchased 3,57,143 shares in ScPharmaceuticals for a total of $5 million by way of allotment in its IPO.

Arrow Greentech: Secures Patent

Shares of the plastic products maker rose as much as 14 percent to Rs 555 after it secured a patent for manufacturing embedded water-soluble film carrier in U.S.

Thyrocare

  • Samara Capital sold 7.40 lakh shares or 1.4 percent equity stake at Rs 668.18 each.
  • Thyrocare Technologies Ltd.’s stock fell as much as 1.78 percent to Rs 670.15 apiece.

Videocon

  • IFCI sold 22.50 lakh shares or 0.8 percent equity stake at Rs 12.82 each.
  • Videocon Industries Ltd.’s stock fell as much as 3.57 percent to Rs 12.15 apiece.

GATI

  • Green India Venture Fund sold 18.7 lakh shares or 1.7 percent equity stake at Rs 127.39 each.
  • Gati Ltd.’s stock rose as much as 3.72 percent to Rs 132.35 apiece.

Excel Realty N Infra

  • Aspire Emerging Fund bought 3.60 lakh shares or 1.1 percent equity stake at Rs 121.5 each.
  • Excel Realty N Infra Ltd.’s stock rose as much as 3 percent to Rs 126 apiece.
