Gruh Finance Sees Good Demand Home Loans For Next 12-15 Months

Gruh Finance’s net profit rose 25.5% to Rs 77.8 crore during the July-September quarter.

Housing finance company Gruh Finance Ltd. is hopeful of good demand continuing for the next 12-15 months, Managing Director Sudhin Choksey told BloombergQuint In an interview. The lender clocked an 18 percent growth in home loans during the September-quarter.

The demand for home loans under the government scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana led to the earnings growth in the second quarter-ended September, Choksey said.

The home loan service provider’s net profit rose 25.5 percent on a year-on-year basis to Rs 77.8 crore during the July-September quarter, according to its exchange notification. The lender’s revenue from operations rose 12.7 percent during the period.
