The Singapore traded SGX Nifty, an early indicator of Nifty’s performance in India, gained 0.1 percent to 9,526.

June Auto Sales

Maruti Suzuki

  • Sales in June up 7.6 percent to 1,06,394 units
  • Domestic sales up 1.2 percent to 93,263 units
  • Exports up 96 percent to 13,131 units
  • To pass entire benefit of GST to customers
  • Ex-showroom prices select models decrease by up to 3 percent

Tata Motors

  • Overall sales volume in June down 9 percent to 40,358 units
  • Domestic sales down 5 percent to 36,854 units
  • Domestic CV sales down 2 percent to 25,678 units
  • Medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) business grows 1 percent to 7,689 units
  • Exports fell 40 percent to 3,504 units

Mahindra and Mahindra

  • June sales volume down 8.4 percent to 35,176 units
  • Overall sales for Q1FY18 down 4 percent to 1,16,968 units
  • Tractor sales volume up 9 percent in June to 32,933 units

Eicher Motors

  • June sales volume up 25 percent to 63,160 units
