SGX Nifty indicates a flat start to trade

The Singapore traded SGX Nifty, an early indicator of Nifty’s performance in India, gained 0.16 percent to 9,640.

Here are the stocks to watch out for in today’s session:

  • Wipro: Clarifies that the payable date and ex-dividend date for its American Depository Receipts is yet to be determined.

Reliance Capital

  • Plans to list its wholly-owned subsidiary Reliance General Insurance this fiscal.
  • To dilute a minimum 10 percent stake in FY18 and up to 25 percent over the next three years
The coming years are likely to witness a double-digit growth in the sector largely due to disproportionately low penetration of insurance.

  • Sunteck Realty: FID FDS Mauritius bought 9.24 lakh shares or 1.5 percent stake at Rs 460 each
  • Equitas Holdings: Creation Investments Equitas Holdings, LLC sold 50 lakh shares or 1.5 percent stake at Rs 169 each which was bought by RIMCO India for Rs 168.99 each
  • Welspun Enterprises: Insight Solutions Ltd. sold nearly half of its stake or 43 lakh shares, which forms 2.9 percent stake at Rs 90.1 each
  • Sical Logistics: To acquire 51 percent stake in Patchems Pvt. Ltd. for a total consideration of Rs 9.5 crore
  • Shreyas Shipping: Enters into a JV with Japan based Suzue Corporation
  • DIC India: Board approves sale of Mumbai land

Hindustan Petroleum

  • Acquisition of HPCL negative for ONGC and Indian Oil Corporation, says CLSA

According to CLSA:

  • ONGC likely to see a notable increase in debt post acquisition
  • ONGC might liquidate its 13.8 percent stake in IOC to fund HPCL acquisition
  • Government the only gainer from this deal
  • Fair value could be hit by almost 2 percent due to value leakage in the holding company structure
