Stocks To Watch: GSFC, HDFC, Reliance Industries, Yes Bank

The Singapore traded SGX Nifty, an early indicator of Nifty’s performance in India, fell 0.2 percent to 9,121.

Here are the stocks to watch out for in today’s session:

NTPC

  • Board of directors approved the updated MTN (medium-term note) programme to $6 billion from $4 billion to raise debt from the international market
  • Debt to be raised to part finance the capital expenditure on new or ongoing projects, coal mining projects, renovation and modernisation of power stations
  • Board of directors also approved the proposal to issue rupee denominated bonds of up to Rs 5,000 crore
  • Bonds can either be issued under the MTN programme or on a standalone basis

Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals

  • Signed a non-binding term sheet with the Republic of Congo
  • Term sheet to evaluate the possibility of establishing an ammonia-urea complex in the country to enhance agricultural growth
  • Project expected to act as a catalyst for Congo by reducing dependency on imported food
  • Project to enhance bilateral relationship between the two countries

NALCO

  • Offer for sale oversubscribed 1.63 times by institutional investors
  • Also exercised its oversubscription option to the extent of 8.14 crore equity shares
  • Total offer size now stands at 17.80 crore equity shares which is 9.21 percent of the total share capital
  • Offer for retail investors to open today

GRP Limited

  • Signed a manufacturing and supply agreement with a U.S. based company
  • Agreement for exclusive manufacture, process and supply of composite products
  • Manufacturing facility to be set up at one of the company's existing plants in Maharashtra
  • Facility to commence production before the end of this fiscal year
  • Investment in the equipment for the venture estimated at Rs 2.2 crore
  • HDFC: To issue NCDs worth Rs 1,680 crore on private placement basis
  • Reliance Industries: Commissions world's largest and most complex Ethane project with an investment of close to $1.5 billion
  • Yes Bank: Board approved raising of funds by way of issuance of debt security up to Rs 20,000 crore on private placement basis
  • Delta Corp: Shareholders approve fund raising plan of up to Rs 750 crore
  • Satin Creditcare Network: Incorporates a wholly-owned subsidiary named Satin Housing Finance Ltd. to carry on the housing finance business
  • Central Bank of India: Board approves issuance of 5.59 crore equity shares to the Government of India at Rs 104.15 per share aggregating to Rs 583 crore
  • Phoenix Mills: Allotted 29.68 lakh compulsorily convertible preference shares by its subsidiary Island Star Mall Developers Pvt. Ltd. for Rs 50 crore
  • India Cements: Chennai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved the scheme of amalgamation and arrangement between Trinetra Cement Ltd. and Trishul Concrete Products Ltd. with the company and its respective shareholders
  • Network18 Media and Investments: Approves to sell, transfer otherwise dispose-off BURRP, which had an insignificant revenue contribution, as part of its business restructuring
  • Kothari Sugars and Chemicals: Closed sugar crushing operations at Sathamangalam Sugar Unit in Tamil Nadu for the sugar season of 2016-17
  • 3i Infotech: Allotted 1.34 crore equity shares on a preferential basis to SREI equipment finance Ltd. as part of the restructuring agreement
  • Shalimar Paints: Porinju Veliyath's investment arm Equity Intelligence India bought 1 lakh equity shares or 0.53 percent of the stake at Rs 197.84 per share
