French Stock Market Has Been Thriving Under Hollande: Chart

(Bloomberg) -- While Francois Hollande became the least popular president in France in half a century, the nation’s stock market hasn’t fared too badly. An economic revival helped push the benchmark CAC 40 Index up 44 percent since his election in May 2012, outperforming the regional Stoxx Europe 600 Index by the widest margin of any other presidential terms. Hollande said he won’t seek to be re-elected.
