The government will table all four supporting legislation for the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in Parliament by Friday, said Minister of State for Finance Arjun Ram Meghwal.

Both houses of Parliament must clear the four bills before the Budget session ends on April 12, if the government has to meet its July 1 deadline to roll out GST.

The Cabinet had approved the Integrated GST, Central GST, Union Territory GST and the GST Compensation Bill on Monday.

Individual state assemblies will also have to approve the State GST Bill, which the GST Council approved in its last meeting.
