Wage Pressures Building, Still Lagging Pre-Crisis Levels

(Bloomberg) -- Wage pressures across major advanced economies have started to build, though gains are still below the pre-financial crisis pace. What matters for inflation is how wages are picking up relative to productivity gains, according to Bloomberg Economics. For most, the gap between wage gains and productivity increases is widening -- the exception is the U.S., where productivity growth is picking up, muting the inflationary impact of rising wages.
