Four Chinese travelers from Hubei and one Thai citizen, a taxi driver, have been found to be infected with the novel coronavirus, Permanent Health Secretary Sukhum Karnchanapimai says in a briefing in Bangkok.
- That takes the cases in Thailand to 19 from 14
- The taxi driver is an instance of local person-to-person transmission as he has never traveled to China
- Officials have traced 13 people in close contact with the taxi driver, but they haven’t tested positive for the virus, says Tanarak Plipat, deputy head of the disease control department
