German Investor Confidence Set to Slide Mirroring Stocks
(Bloomberg) -- German investor confidence is set to decline in October following a global stock market slump. Concerns about rising protectionism, Italy’s public finances and a disorderly Brexit have weighed on the indicator tracking the health of Europe’s largest economy in recent months, even as the Bundesbank insists that growth momentum remains solid. The country’s government has lowered its 2018 outlook, citing weaker external demand.
