(Bloomberg) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said he will hold a press conference after every Federal Open Market Committee meeting beginning next year to improve communications.

The U.S. central bank, which currently holds press conferences after every other meeting, will start the new policy in January, he told reporters in Washington on Wednesday. “I want to point out that having twice as many press conference does not signal anything,” he said.
