'Nal Se Jal' By 2024

Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed a ‘Nal se Jal’ scheme to ensure piped water connection to every household by 2024, at the manifesto launch today.

Will create a Jal Shakti Mantralaya for enabling availability of water, optimium utilisation of water.

BJP To Facilitate Construction Of Ram Mandir

The BJP carefully addressed the sensitive issue of building a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, in their 2019 Lok Sabha manifesto.

“We will explore all possibilities within the framework of the Constitution and all necessary efforts to facilitate the expeditious construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.”

During the launch, Manifesto Committee President Rajnath Singh assured that the government would build it.

BJP Proposes A 'Seed Startup Fund'

BJP proposed the creation of Rs 20,000-crore ‘Seed Startup Fund’ in its election manifesto.

It also said it will provide collateral-free credit up to Rs 50 lakh for entrepreneurs, and guarantee 50 percent of loan amount for female entrepreneurs and 25 percent for male.

The BJP will provide accident insurance of Rs 10 lakh to all traders registered under GST, it promised in its election manifesto.

When compared to base year of 2015-16, GST revenue for all states have increased by 50 percent in three years. We will continue with the simplication of GST process by engaging in dialogue with all stakeholders.

Infrastructure Promises

If re-elected, the BJP-led government will make a capital investment of Rs 100 lakh crore in the infrastructure sector by 2024, it promised in its election manifesto.

By 2024, we will make capital investment of Rs 100 lakh crore in the infrastructure sector. We recognize that investment driven growth requires cheaper cost of capital. By anchoring inflation at 4 percent and cleaning up our banking system we have created the space for structural reduction in the cost of capital. This will not only help infrastructure investment but investment also in the wider economy.

BJP To Deplete Poverty In Next Five Years, Says Arun Jaitley

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the party manifesto prepared by Rajnath Singh, has been prepared with a “strong nationalist vision” and is rooted in Indian realities.

The party aims to deplete poverty to single digits within the next five years, he added.

BJP To Strengthen Companies Act

The Bharatiya Janajta Party said that it will strengthen the Companies Act as part of its efforts to make India a global manufacturing hub.

In order to incentivise compliance of law and ease of doing business, we will amend the Companies Act to impose civil liability for technical and procedural defaults of a minor nature thus unclogging the majority of the cases from the courts.

Aim To Double Farmers' Income By 2022

Rajnath Singh announced that the party aims to double farm income in India by 2022, in a bid to provide relief to the farm distress gripping the nation.

The government, if elected for a second term, will make an investment of Rs 25 lakh crore to improve farm productivity, he said. It will launch a pension scheme for small and marginal farmers to ensure social security after 60 years of age.

The government will also provide short-term loans of up to Rs 1 lakh at a 0-percent interest rate for one to five years, he said.

BJP's Manifesto Leads With Strengthening National Security

BJP's 2019 manifesto shows a 12-pronged approach, which ranges from strengthening the country's armed forces to improving the infrastructure.

Rajnath Singh, Chairperson of BJP's Manifesto Committee, said that the party will expeditiously complete National Register of Citizens process and implement NRC in a phased manner in other parts of the country.

BJP will implement smart fencing on all borders, reiterate position to the abrogation of Article 370 and are Committed to annulling Article 35A of the Constitution, Singh said today.

This outlines a zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism along with strengthening the armed forces. The party aims to achieve self-reliance in the defence sector and ensure the welfare of soldiers. BJP's Manifesto Will Fulfill Aspirations, Says Amit Shah

The Bharatiya Janata Party has provided a successful government over the last five years which has led to India rising through global rankings, said party president Amit Shah today.

The party manifesto for the next five years will fulfill the masses’ aspirations, he added.

Will BJP Trump Congress' Manifesto?

The Congress party has pledged to tackle unemployment and poverty as it seeks to wrest power from Narendra Modi’s ruling coalition just days out from a national election. The party released its election manifesto in New Delhi on Tuesday, promising to rid India of poverty by 2030, waive farm loans, introduce a single sales tax and reserve a third of government jobs for women.

Here were the five key points highlighted:

  1. NYAY (Nyuntam Aay Yojana, a minimum income plan): Under this scheme, India’s poorest will receive money directly in their bank account to ensure they have a minimum monthly income of Rs 12,000.
  2. Jobs: The Congress will fill 22 lakh job vacancies within the government in an effort to boost employment. Entrepreneurs won't need any permissions for the first three years of starting a business. Raise guaranteed days of employment under MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarentee Act) up to 150 days. Angel tax will be withdrawn.
  3. Farmers: There will be a separate budget for farmers. If farmers default on loans, it will be considered a civil offense and not a criminal offence. Congress also promised to extend a farm loan waiver to all states.
  4. Education: Double government expenditure on education to 6 percent of GDP by financial year 2023-24.
  5. Health: Will strengthen government hospitals and the public health service. Double government expenditure on healthcare to 3 percent of GDP by financial year 2023-24.

BJP To Reveal Manifesto 2019 Shortly

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley are set to unveil the party’s manifesto - a list of promises and issues they aim to focus on - for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

This comes just three days before days before the first phase of polling on April 11 and a week after the Rahul Gandhi-led Congress revealed their manifesto - which circles around a direct income transfer scheme, bettering education and health, creating jobs and uplifting farmers.

The BJP has formed a 20-member manifesto committee headed by senior party leader and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. The panel includes Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, among others. All sub-committees set up by the BJP to provide inputs for the manifesto have already submitted their reports to Singh.
