Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to arrive at the ski resort town of Davos today. He will be the first Indian Prime Minister at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting of the global elite since 1997 when then Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda had attended. And the InterContinental Davos -- also known as the Golden Egg -- seems to be prepared to make him feel right at home.

When it comes to food, Modi is known to be a strict vegetarian and even fasts on the nine days of Navratri (Remember his visit to the U.S. in 2014 when he consumed only fruit and lime water?). Earlier this year, he indulged in an all vegetarian meal at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence. On the menu was khandvi, khichi, kurkuri bhindi, maa ki daal and kumbh ka pulao, among other things, reported Hindustan Times.

Tonight, Modi will be presented with a traditional three-course thaal meal curated by the chefs of Mumbai's Taj Mahal Palace hotel.

He will be started off with a curry leaf scented avocado tartare, dry mango relish, paprika parmesean crisps and tomato jam.

Then, the five-star hotel will serve a thaal with Gucchi khumb masaledar, zaffrani faldari kofta curry, bhuni makai aur chilgoza ki tikki, palak paneer, dum aloo benarsi, dal makhni, gobhi mutter ki tehari, anardana raita, dhokla, papad, served with achar, chutney, kachumber, tawa paratha, chapati and theplas.

The non-vegetarians won't be disappointed either. On menu for them is: murgh tariwala, goa fish curry, shikampuri kebab, palak paneer, dum aloo benarasi, dal makhni, gobhi mutter ki tehari, anardana raita, dhokta, papad and the same condiments and flat breads.

The meal will be finished off with 'India ki Mithas' - gajar halwa cake, elaichi bhappa doi, coconut chikki and sukhri crumb.
