West Bengal Registers Over 22,000 Fresh Cases
West Bengal registered 22,645 fresh Covid-19 cases and 28 deaths in the previous day.
Citing government data, the state's positivity rate has now risen 31.14%, ANI reported. The active case tally in West Bengal now stands at 1,45,483.
Delhi Records More Than 24,000 New Covid-19 Cases
Delhi recorded 24,283 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours coupled with 34 deaths during the same period, ANI said, referring to data released by the government.
With a positivity rate of 30.64%, active cases in the city now stand at 92,273.
Mumbai Reports Over 11,000 Cases
Mumbai reported 11,317 new Covid-19 cases and nine deaths in the past 24-hours, ANI reported, citing government data.
Out of the patients reported Covid positive today, 9,506 were found to be asymptomatic according to the update. The city now has 84,352 active Covid-19 cases.
Over 2.6 Lakh Fresh Cases Reported, Active Cases Rise
Fresh Covid-19 cases in India continued to spike as the Omicron variant spreads.
The nation reported as many as 2.64 lakh fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update at 8 a.m. on Jan. 14. That compares with 1.09 lakh recoveries recorded during the period.
