Mumbai Records Highest One-Day Cases Since February 25
Mumbai recorded 117 new Covid-19 cases in a single day, according to an update from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. This was the first time since February 25 that the city logged it's highest one-day tally.
However, 114 patients out of the 117 tested positive, were found to be asymptomatic.
Active cases in the city now stand at 642.

Fresh Covid-19 cases in India rose over the 3,000-mark yet again, even as the country braced for new variants of the novel coronavirus.
The nation reported 3,205 new infections and 31 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to an update from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as of 8 a.m. on May 4. Recoveries stood at 2,802.
New cases outpaced one-day recoveries, pushing up the active tally.
