New Covid-19 cases in India continue to outpace recoveries, driving the active tally higher.
The nation reported 3,275 fresh coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, according to an update from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as of 8 a.m. on May 5. Single-day recoveries stood at 3,010.
