Supreme Court Orders Government To Disclose Vaccine Trials Data
The Supreme Court earlier today directed the government to make public the data on adverse effects of Covid-19 vaccination.
Further, the court affirmed the government’s vaccine policy but adds that no individual can be forced to be vaccinated. "All vaccine trial data should be made public while protecting individual privacy."
The petition had sought the release of segregated trial data and direction against vaccine mandates.
Fresh Covid-19 cases in India dropped for the second day in a row but remained above 3,000.
The nation reported 3,157 fresh coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's update at 8 a.m. on May 2.
New cases continued to outpace one-day recoveries, pushing up the active tally for the sixth day.
