Number Of Deaths Rise As Maharashtra Reconciles Data
Daily Covid-19 fatality rate in India neared the 4,000-mark after Maharashtra carried out a reconciliation exercise on Tuesday, adding 3,509 deaths to the total tally. The effective death rate, in the last 24 hours, remained below 400 for the third-straight day.
Number of new cases rose reported in the last 24 hours, crossed the 42,000-mark, according to the health ministry's update as of 8 a.m. on July 21. This includes 2,497 additional cases added by Maharashtra after reconciling data.
Recoveries during the same period were at 36,977.
