Covid-19 India Updates: Daily Fatality Rate Drops Below 500 For The First Time In Over Three Months

Daily Covid-19 fatality rate in India dropped below 500 for the first time since April 6 as the country braced for a third wave of the pandemic.

38,164 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the health ministry's update as of 8 a.m. on July 19. Recoveries during the same period were marginally higher at 38,660.

The active caseload remained around 4.2 lakh.
