Covid-19 India Updates: Active Cases Remain Below 5 Lakh-Mark For Second Straight Day

Active Covid-19 infections in India stood below the 5-lakh mark for the second consecutive day even as the country's total death toll remained above 4 lakh.

As many as 43,071 people tested positive for the pathogen in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on July 4. More than 52,299 patients recovered in the same period, helping the country bring down its active caseload.

As many as 955 people succumbed to the coronavirus in a day.
