Covid-19 India Updates: 2,020 Deaths Recorded In A Day As Madhya Pradesh Reconciles Data

India recorded 2,020 deaths in a day due to Covid-19 as Madhya Pradesh became the latest state to reconcile fatality data.

The state government reported an additional 1,481 deaths after district administrations cleared a backlog and uploaded information on the 'Sarthak' portal. This took the nation's total Covid-19 death toll to 4.1 lakh.

Meanwhile, nearly 33,000 people tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the health ministry's update as of 8 a.m on July 13. The country reported nearly 49,000 recoveries during the same period, taking the active caseload marginally lower to 4.3 lakh.
