A New Record For Fresh Cases
India reported close to 2 lakh new Covid-19 infections, taking the total number of active cases to over 13.5 lakh across the country.
1.84 lakh people tested positive for the coronavirus over the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry's update as of 8:00 a.m. on April 14. The 1,027 deaths reported over the last 24 hours were also the highest since October 18 last year.
Maharashtra continued to remain the epicentre of the second wave across the country with the state reporting 60,212 cases as of Tuesday evening.
