India’s coronavirus tally crossed the 94-lakh mark even as new case additions dropped below the 40,000-mark for the first time in six days.
India reported 38,772 new cases in 24 hours, taking the total tally to 94.31 lakh in the world’s second-worst infected country, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. That includes 88.47 lakh recoveries and more than 1.37 lakh deaths.
Authorities reported 45,333 recoveries in a day, making it the third straight day that new cases trailed recoveries.

Global Virus Update
Total coronavirus cases across the globe exceeded the 6.25 crore mark, while deaths neared the 15-lakh-mark on Monday morning.
