Door-To-Door Vaccinations Allowed In Select Cases
India will facilitate door-to-door vaccinations for differently-abled persons and those with restricted mobility—for whom reaching vaccination centers is not a possibility, said NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul.
An advisory has been issued for the same, he said during the health ministry's briefing on Covid-19. Vaccinations in such cases will be done under supervisions by a team at their homes by following specific guidelines, he added.
India's active Covid-19 case load continued to hover around the 3 lakh-mark as a third wave looms over the country's healthcare infrastructure.
As many as 31,923 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Sept. 23.
Active cases, at 3.01 lakh, constitute 0.90% of the total tally, the lowest since March last year. India's recovery rate at 97.77%, is also the highest since then.
