Coronavirus India Latest Updates: Over 15,000 Cases, 231 Deaths Reported

India reported more than 15,000 new Covid-19 infections, even after the country crossed the 100-crore vaccine milestone.
As many as 15,786 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Oct. 22. That compares with 18,641 recoveries during the period.
Active cases resumed their decline, albeit marginal, after recording a rise the previous day. At 1.75 lakh, the active case load accounts for 0.51% of India's total tally.
