Coronavirus India Latest Updates: New Cases Fall To Lowest In 18 Months

India added the fewest new coronavirus infections in 18 months, dragging down the active caseload.

The country added 7,579 new cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest since May 29, 2020, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Nov. 23. That compares with nearly 12,202 recoveries during the period.

Active cases, accounting for 0.33% of the country's total tally, fell to the lowest since March 2020.
