Coronavirus India Latest Updates: Less Than 20,000 New Cases Reported, Over 1 Crore Shots Given

Active Covid-19 cases dropped to 2.92 lakh, as India reported less than 20,000 new cases for the first time in 201 days.
As many as 18,795 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Sept. 28. That compares with the 26,030 recoveries recorded in the same period.
Active cases currently account for 0.87% of the total tally, the lowest since March last year.
