Coronavirus India Latest Updates: Fresh Infections Remain Below 30,000; 75 Crore Doses Given
India's daily Covid-19 infection rate remained below 30,000 for the third day in a row, as the nationwide inoculation drive hit a landmark of 75 crore doses.
As many as 25,404 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Sept. 14.
India's active case load continued to fall as daily recoveries exceeded fresh infections for the third straight day. Active cases, at 3.62 lakh, is the lowest since Aug. 28.

India has administered a total of 75 crore vaccine doses, with more than 78 lakh shots given in the last 24 hours. More than 99% healthcare workers and frontline workers have received at least the first shot of the vaccine, the government said in a press release.
