India reported the fewest number of new Covid-19 infections in more than seven months, bringing down the country's active case load.
14,313 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Oct. 12, the lowest since March 2.
That compares with 26,579 recoveries in the same period. Recoveries now account for for more than 98% of India's total tally, the highest since March 2020.
