Coronavirus India Latest Updates: Fresh Cases Drop Below 15,000; 181 Deaths Recorded

India reported the fewest number of new Covid-19 infections in more than seven months, bringing down the country's active case load.

14,313 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Oct. 12, the lowest since March 2.

That compares with 26,579 recoveries in the same period. Recoveries now account for for more than 98% of India's total tally, the highest since March 2020.

Use Of Covaxin Recommended For 2-18 Year-Olds: ANI

The subject expert committee on vaccines has given a recommendation to Drugs Controller General of India for the use of Bharat Biotech's Covaxin for 2-18 year olds, tweeted news agency ANI citing official sources.
