India's daily infection rate drops below 30,000, even as a projected third wave is expected to peak in October, threatening the country's economic recovery.
As many as 29,616 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Sept. 25. That compares with the 28,046 recoveries recorded in the same period.
Active cases, currently just above 3 lakh, constitute less than 1% of the total tally.
