Coronavirus India Latest Updates: Active Cases Rise Marginally, 805 Deaths Reported

India's active case load rose marginally, as fresh cases exceeded daily recoveries for the first time in eight days.
As many as 14,348 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Oct. 29. That compares with 13,198 recoveries during the same period.
Active cases inched back up to 1.61 lakh, after being at their lowest in since Feb. 27.

The spike in daily fatalities continued, as Kerala added 652 previously undocumented deaths due to Covid-19.
As many as 805 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24-hour period, the highest since July 21, when over 2,000 deaths were reported due to revision of data.
With this, India's total Covid-19 death toll has now risen to 4.57 lakh, one of the world's worst.
