Coronavirus India Latest Updates: Active Cases Drop Below 4 Lakh, Over 1 Crore Shots Given In Last 24 Hours

Fresh cases of Covid-19 in India fell to around 31,000 even as a projected third wave threatens to hit economic activity in the country.

As many as 31,222 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 9 a.m. on Sept. 7.

Daily recoveries, at around 43,000, continued to exceed fresh cases for the second day in a row, helping the active case load drop below 4 lakh.

Active cases now account for 1.19% of the total cases in India, while the weekly positivity rate has remained below 3% for the last 74 days.
