Coronavirus India Latest Updates: Active Cases Continue To Decline Even As Fresh Infections Top 20,000

India's active Covid-19 case load continued to decline, as recoveries exceeded new cases for the eleventh day in a row.

As many as 22,431 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Oct. 7. That compares with 24,602 recoveries in the same period.

Active cases currently account for just 0.72% of the total tally.
