Coronavirus India Latest Updates: Active Cases Continue To Decline; Daily Death Toll Remains Elevated

India's active case load continued to decline as fresh cases continued to be dwarfed by daily recoveries for the fourth day in a row.

As many as 14,306 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Oct. 25. That compares with 18,762 recoveries during the period.

At 1.67 lakh, the active case load accounts for 0.49% of India's total tally.

The daily death toll, however, remained elevated for the third straight day with over 440 fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. Kerala's reclassification and revision of data led to a spike in the last two days.
