Active Covid-19 cases in India dropped further to 2.64 lakh, the lowest in 200 days, even as the threat of an imminent third wave looms over the country.
As many as 20,799 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Oct. 4. That compares with 26,718 recoveries recorded in the same period.
Active cases currently account for 0.78% of the total tally, the lowest since March last year.
