(Bloomberg) -- Making a market in bitcoin is proving to be no easy task. The cryptocurrency’s bid-ask spread -- the difference between what buyers are willing to pay for a security and what sellers are looking to receive -- averaged $3.40 during weekday trading in October and November. That’s twice the figure of $1.70 for gold over the same period.
