Sobha Ltd. expects 2019 to be much better for business than the previous year, citing lower inventories.

The real estate sector has been changing gears, said Managing Director JC Sharma in an interview to BloombergQuint. From low sales, volumes, and comfort to stakeholders, to right prices, low interest rates and easing inflation. All this, coupled with the reduced inventory levels, should help, said Sharma adding “volumes can only go up from here.”

While sales volumes rose for Sobha in 2018, revenue from sales fell 2.6 percent in the December quarter (year-on-year), said Sharma, calling it an “definite aberration”.
