South Africa’s Record Power Cuts Are Likely to Get Worse: Chart

(Bloomberg) -- South Africa’s Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd. has already set a record this year for power outages, according to the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research. The utility’s executives told lawmakers Wednesday that the nation can expect power supply to be unreliable and unpredictable as it repairs its poorly maintained generation plants over the next 18 months.
