Phatak Elevated To Global Role At Unilever, Ritesh Tiwari Named HUL CFO

Srinivas Phatak elevated to the global finance role at Unilever, Ritesh Tiwari named CFO of HUL.

Hindustan Unilever Ltd. appointed Rajesh Tiwari as executive director-finance and chief financial officer replacing Srinivas Phatak, who has been elevated to a global finance role.

Tiwari will also take over as vice president finance, South Asia, Unilever Plc. with effect from May 1, the company said in a release. Phatak has been elevated as executive vice president, financial control and risk management, and will based out of Unilever’s headquarters in London as part of the finance leadership executive team.

Phatak steered the business through transformational changes such as the goods and services tax implementation and GSK Consumer Healthcare merger, the largest in the industry, Sanjiv Mehta, chairman and managing director of HUL, said in the statement, commending Phatak's contribution.

Tiwari joined HUL as a management trainee in 1999 after completing his chartered accountancy from ICAI. Over the last 21 years, he has led various teams, within India and across Unilever, in core finance and as a business partner to front-end sales, categories and supply chain.
