Myntra's CFO Ramesh Bafna, CMO Harish Narayanan Step Down
India’s largest online fashion platform is witnessing attrition among its top brass.
Ramesh Bafna has stepped down as the chief financial officer at Myntra to pursue other opportunities, according to an internal note, reviewed by BloombergQuint. Bafna has been with the Walmart-owned fashion portal for seven years.
Also, Harish Narayanan has resigned as the chief marketing officer to pursue his interest in early-stage startup and will be looking at the Edtech space, the note written by Myntra’s outgoing Chief Executive Officer Amar Nagaram said. Narayanan had helped Myntra’s marketing team to expand its shift to digital.
Both Bafna and Narayanan will continue in their roles until January 2022.
Meanwhile, Myntra’s parent, Flipkart group CFO Sriram Venkataraman will be “key adviser to the leadership team as interim CFO for the next few months”, the note said.
Myntra has yet to respond to BloombergQuint’s emailed queries.
Nagaram had stepped down as the CEO a month back to pursue his own venture. He, however, will remain with the group until December-end in an advisory role for a smooth transition.
Myntra has appointed Flipkart executive Nandita Sinha as the CEO from January. Last month, it had also appointed Sharon Pais as its chief business officer. Pais was formerly the head of loyalty and travel at Flipkart.
