(Bloomberg) -- Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz delivered more cars in the U.S. than BMW AG’s namesake brand last month, topping the U.S. luxury sales charts for the first time since February and narrowing the race between the German arch rivals.

Deliveries jumped for Mercedes’ top sellers, the GLC and GLE crossovers, and the all-new A-Class model lifted the brand’s sedan lines. Mercedes outsold BMW by about 1,600 units, narrowing the gap between the two to fewer than 7,500 cars.
